Rearranged Rooms

We had a nice, productive weekend…. Church Friday morning, Moved Audrey into her own room on Friday, Fundraising event at Audrey’s school Friday night (bouncy houses – live music – picnic dinner – face painting -great fun), birthday party with kids on Saturday at Fun City in Marina Mall while Charles played golf, and roast-rice-and-gravy for dinner.

Audrey had been asking to have her own room for a week or so – Charles and I both agreed with her that it would be best since Will wakes up SO early and the redhead isn’t exactly a morning person.  The problem that presents itself here is that we had a wonderful playroom full of toys and games, so what would we do with everything?! Well, we just had to get creative.  Had I’d known that the room-sharing wouldn’t have worked out for long, I would have made gender specific choices in the curtains/rugs when it was purchasing time… but hey, at least there is flexibility in which room is what…  And no, I don’t like the track system hotel style curtains either.. but we have to work with functionality here – and they are some of the best black-out curtains! Here is Audrey’s new “unshared” room.

Will’s Room:

We had to get creative since we’ve had a playroom for the last 3 years and somehow have accumulated a lot of really great toys to fill it up.  Of course I throw away or donate anything that isn’t being played with, so everything that is left is stuff they actually use.  The two bedrooms didn’t allow for the same storage space, so this is where we got creative.  We put the rest of the playroom in Will’s bathroom!! ha! I am just wondering how many hot-wheels are going to end up in the toilet?! We do the best we can with what we’ve got and this is the only solution for now.  I think it is kinda funny.
