OOOOHHHH AHHHHHH... i was playing with cameras in Sams and came across this beauty.  I was blown away at the pictures it took just right there in the store.. fabulous.  Nikon D3000 DSLR....Sams is selling for $530 but I found a site online that has it for $450 (free shipping).  Maybe if I'm really really good - Santa will team up with family and get it for me??? :)

I cracked up when I saw him literally pose for this picture.. he is such a ham!.. Like he got a pimped out 'ride!! ha ha... can't wait another 15.5 years to see this pose again :) Hopefully that time he won't have as much drool on his shirt... but ya never know.

blog maintenance

Hey blog friends.. I was helping out a friend set up a blog and stumbled across this update that I found very useful!  It is a modern (easier) version of the "new post" form it makes it easier to manipulate images once uploaded - it does a lot of other fancy things.. but i'm not smart enough to understand them all.. go to the link below and it explains everything:

Here's how to enable this new feature:
Go to your dashboard for your blog
Click Settings
Under "Basic" (which should automatically come up) you'll scroll down until you see Global Settings
Select Post Editor: UPDATED

While you are there.. this is something that just drives me nuts leaves me a tiny bit frustrated about some people's blogs.. you know when you try to leave them a comment and instead of the very easy and smooth way with the pop up window they have it come up underneath the posting and it takes about 47 tries to actually leave a post?? maybe it's just me.  Try yours and see - if this is you - you can simplify this by going to SETTINGS, click on COMMENT FORM PLACEMENT - select POP UP WINDOW... you'll know if yours was the hard way if the "embedded below post" option was selected.  I  love leaving comments on peoples blogs.. but it is SO difficult when the comment thingy is embeded into the post.

FOOTBALL FRENZY

Me and Kari (sister) Tailgating... She's a pro - she showed us all around and was so patient as I caught up with old friends.. It was only the 2nd time in 7 years that I had returned to LSU for a football game. I could qualify for the worst LSU fan award... We had a great time and enjoyed our visit with Kari so much! She was the hostess with the mostess! :o)

Friday night at around 10:00 pm - she was such a trooper! She had a great time at "Uncle Matt's" football game. She ate her weight in peanuts and even though it was cold she never complained. She loved watching the cheerleaders and dancing to the band! :)

My 29th birthday was Monday! My mom and Aunt Liz came in town to celebrate with me on Sunday afternoon and we went to Lupe Tortilla's in Sugar Land - (great children's play area in the sand!) Monday morning I got to grocery shop all alone while they watched the kids.. huge treat!.. and then off to Town Center for a quick quick run thru Swoozie's and Charming Charlies.. Ballet Class for Audrey and then back home for lunch. It was a real treat to have extra hands around for Will and Audrey.. God know's I need them! I enjoyed the day even though it was a pretty challenging day with Will screaming thru ballet class and spitting up so much we had to rinse out burp cloths.. Audrey melted down big time when it was beyond her nap time and at the same time mom and Aunt Liz had to go. The minute I got her down for a nap Will woke up from his and had a diaper leak that drenched me in pee. Ahhhh... Happy Birthday to me.. Happy Birthday to me.. I am really working on not letting my circumstances determine my mood and what a test it was! I passed!! yessss! victory for mama!

I get one more lap around the sun and BAM I'll be 30.. ugh

Laundry Room Upgrade

We have the "walk thru" laundry room that I would not have particularly chosen for our home - but, whatever - we weren't in the position to be super choosy when we relocated back... Charles improved the space by building me shelves for storage of extra paper towels, cleaning supplies etc.. but I hated walking in and looking at the junk up there every single time I came thru the door. My solution, a curtain. I found a rinky dinky pole that had a spring in it to fit windows - i mean, it could be the cheapest curtain rod on the market. I just needed it to squeez in tightly to the space. I have been looking for fabric to make a curtain and actually saw this at JoAnn fabric for $$$$/yard (you would have to custom order and everything.. (i passed) - but I still liked the fabric. I went to Lowes today to get the remainder of the paint for the last couple of rooms and Low and Behold!!! A panel of it for $24. yippee. I turned the panel sideways and sewed up a rod pocket and Voila!

$24 and 20 minutes later - all my problems are solved!... well maybe just this one.

I know my blog posts are getting fewer and farther between - ahhh life with two kids and an active schedule is leaving very little time - I'll try to catch you up to speed...

A little first cleaning - she did great.. maybe it is all the time she has spent in the chair before with drills and sanders to smooth out her crazy broken teeth?
