This Easter made for our first repeat Holiday in Abu Dhabi… On Friday we went to church, then on Saturday we had a wonderful time with our friends this year with a big Easter egg hunt, a delicious dinner and even some Easter crafts for the kids. We are truly blessed to have an Abu Dhabi family of friends which make our time here even more enjoyable.
On the left is Will and his buddy Matthew and on the right Audrey and her new friend, Cameron
This was our lineup of kiddos.. 3 were missing from the picture…
Can you tell Will needs a nap!?
the kids on the way to the Easter Egg Hunt
They had a ball – but because of timing of sunset we had to do the hunt before dinner – this is what Will thought of only getting to eat one piece of candy. ha!
Little did I know he is incredibly sneaky, Later in the evening he got his basket without me knowing and pigged out on candy and ate no dinner. oh well. I tried.
My precious blessings!
They had a ball!
When I was preparing the kids Easter baskets after our party – this pregnant mama was worn slap out and I didn’t wait very long after I put the kids to bed. It was about 9:00 and my eyes were shutting themselves so I got to work… I was totally BUSTED by Audrey. She came down for some water and I had a big toys r us bag and 1/2 put together Easter baskets all over the table. Thankfully I got lots of practice being caught red handed in high school and came up with a good cover. I told Audrey that the Easter bunny left the bag on the porch with a note for me to put the baskets together for him since he was in a huge hurry to get back to America before dark. She bought it. ‘whew’ what a close one. My parents, however, were not so gullible back in my day.
Since Sunday is a week day here, Charles had to work so it was just me and the kids. We spent the day playing with bubble guns and water balloons.
Lots of fun, but I was SO READY for spring break to be over with. the kids are getting to the stage where they fight. fight. fight. not to mention 2 straight weeks with Will is enough to drive anyone crazy… bless his heart
While we were playing with water balloons, our neighbor’s dog, Annie came out to play. My kids just love her and think she is another neighborhood kid. They both really love dogs…. too bad mama doesn’t.
