Keep it Simple, Stupid. ;)

It seems that I’m needing to find a bit of balance in my schedule.  I have not posted in almost 2 weeks, and honestly – I don’t have much to catch up on.  The days and weeks come and go with much of the same, school, preschool drop offs, pick ups, and braving Abu Dhabi traffic in between.  I used to blog when Will was napping, but now he goes down for a nap a little later, closer to 2 o’clock, and I leave to get Audrey at around 2:40 – which doesn’t allow for enough time to sit down and start a post.  I need to go back to the basics where I would just post a tid bit here and there and forget the long posts, since obviously I’m not around to do them (they usually take me a couple of hours to write, edit, upload pictures etc..). I guess I  have been spending my computer time looking and researching fun activities for when my sister comes to visit (in about 2 weeks!) and getting lost in Pinterest.. I need to put myself on Pinterest Probation!

I know if I were you I would wonder how in the world do I NOT have time to post with a live in housemaid and all.. and, honestly I wonder the same thing.  I am not watching TV, I have one kid in school all day every day, one kid in two mornings a week – I can’t figure out where the time goes.  All I know is that I’m not home to do it.. because if I was home, I’d do it…   Again, Sorry for no news, no info or updates – we have all been a bit sick for the last week (taking turns) and we haven’t had a really exciting weekend in quite a while…

Life here is still good, a little off balance, but good.  I am feeling scattered and stretched lately and I’m needing to be in a rhythm of routine… I feel a bit like a ping pong ball at an Olympic tournament. Running from one thing to the next to the next to the next. I know some people that can only function in this manner and will fill a second with something if they have one.. but I do not function like that. I am at my best when I ‘clock in’ for a couple hours at my house.  I need to choose wisely, edit down and be more intentional about planning my weeks. Simplify.

Simplify.

Simplify.

So in order to maintain the blog, I will have to simplify that too.  You know how it is hard to start a task that you know is going to take a chunk of time, so you just never get around to doing it?? That is what is happening here.  I need to listen to the very true phrase:

“Keep it simple stupid.”
