The last three days we have spent at least part of the day at the Villa. Day 1 we went there for measurements and play time with future neighbors – Day 2 we went for a furniture delivery (TV Stand) – Day 3 was for curtain delivery and install. I’m hoping to get some stuff at the villa over the weekend to make it a bit more comfortable when we are there, like cups, paper plates, paper towels, and snacks for the cabinets so we don’t have to pack them every time. *Food is always my insurance policy to make sure Will behaves. We have bought both the kids scooters to play with at the Villa, all the kids have lots of ride on toys, scooters, bikes etc.. outside and it looks like there will be lots of kids to play with when we move. I was there from 9:30 until 12:15 today and the kids were ready to go so I had to leave the guys there installing the curtains. I’ll go back after naptime and see how it all looks. They had one room done (Living Room) and they were working on the playroom when I left. I am pleased with all of the fabric colors - it made me nervous to choose from such a small swatch, but I think they’ll all turn out well. The style of curtains here is a bit different than what we are used to, very ‘hotel-ish’ – but that is how it is everywhere. I was thrilled to find out I could do a wooden rod, but since it was more expensive, I just did downstairs in the living room. The rest of them are on tracks, you know how you pull the string/rope to open and close. Our bedrooms have black out shades.. yesss! again since it was a bit more expensive, I just did our room and the kids room with black out. The guest room is getting navy blue curtains and the kids room and playroom is getting the same wheat colored curtain with a great woven texture to it.. and the Master is getting a cappuccino color. Similar to our wall color in our bedroom in Sugar Land. It looks great with our super dark furniture and not tooo contrasting against the super white walls.
I took some pictures of the kids playing too..
Our Villa ^
the staircase is near the front door^
The furniture piece was tough to find to fit in that exact spot.. I am planning to get shutters built for the backside so we don’t see TV wires etc.. when we are eating dinner
see, it is open to the dining area^^
y’all know I love green. I had similar colored curtains with my living room furniture before (in Katy) so I knew this would work with our stuff… They are altering the sheers before hanging them.. something was up with the measurement ..
Check out Will’s face, the kids are filthy each and every night… everything here is dirty, dirty.. guess from the sand? they need serious scrubbing at night at bath time!
