After months of telling Audrey we are moving to where the camels live… finally the moment has arrived when she gets to actually see one!
I was taking pictures like a paparazzo so she felt the need to pose. ha!
Will’s turn.. immediately went and reached out for the camel’s head.. not surprised. the boy has NO fear.
Daddy’s Turn..
Ah, there she is! Mama, that’s me… every once and a while i decide to grace the blog with my presence. ha.
Thanks to a nice stranger, we got a camel family picture.. Yay!
This guy is looking kinda old.
They had a whole set up of what life looked like back in the day.. these shops are usually open and have crafts and spices to sell.

A replication of a typical tent
On the way home we passed a marina.. Charles was telling me that these were small yachts compared to what he’s seen here
So about the Nanny part…
I have interviewed 2 different housemaids - nanny - helper ladies.. (both from Philippines) everyone call’s them something different here. The first one was nice, but something was a bit off, couldn’t put my finger on it but I felt my mother’s instinct saying that this wasn’t the one for me. She was highly recommended, and honestly would have been just fine if we didn’t have younger kids.. she didn’t seem to have the kinda energy required to look after Will from time to time. Today I met Espey and knew as soon as I opened the door this was my girl. I loved that she has a big smile and a cheerful attitude. She was energetic, upbeat and had a heart for the kids. After she was here for about 5 minutes, Audrey whispered in my ear, “I really like her mama!” Ok. done. You’re hired. We called her current employer (Australian family – they are moving out of the country) and asked a few character questions as well as a little history about her work performance.. we were very pleased that her current employer felt she was 100% trustworthy and that’s it. We have some legal paperwork to do to get her on Charles’ work visa, and then we’ll need to get her moved into her room at the Villa. Not too much longer and I’ll have some much needed help!!!! What a blessing! I cannot even begin to imagine life with that kind of help. From what I’ve been told, we can expect her to come in the morning to wash the dishes from the night before, help get the kids dressed and ready for the day, help with breakfast clean up, laundry, any babysitting and daily cleaning and of course picking up. She will play with the kids if I am out and also come with us to the Beach Club if we need her to help… again.. cannot even imagine. Since we are in the apartment, we will just get her to come over and help clean up and babysit when we need her to, but she will go ahead and move to the villa so she doesn’t have to move twice. We have agreed on a salary, food allowance and we will buy her a plane ticket to go home to see her family once a year. Her visa was expiring in one month and she has been looking for another position.,.. she also feels that she has found the right family after searching for a long time. This is gonna be SO COOL. I know, I know.. I’d be jealous of me too. {wink!}
THE END!
of course this picture was Charles’ idea! LOL
