**I ran out of room on my camera's XD card - and since I cannot upload to this old computer - I dumped my pics on a CD at Wal Mart (only $2.50!) now I can post all that my camera has been holding hostage..
So I was a bit of a "cookie monster" over the Christmas Holidays - I needed to make several different things for friends and Charles' work so I decided to dirty up my kitchen all at once and be done with it. {I should have taken a picture of that disaster!} I just used the dough as I needed it over the next week and it made my life much easier!

Snickerdoodles - Oreo Truffles - Italian Cookies for Charles' work
This cookie was super fun to make & decorate - I did them for our last playgroup before Christmas. I used this recipe for the cookies and the icing. The cookies were soft and not too sweet - just how I like them! Before baking, I simply put a lollipop stick into the dough and the cookie baked around it. I used the celophane bags for treats (25/$1) and some leftover ribbon from last Christmas.
I thought they turned out super cute and would use this idea for party favors or even make an arrangement of them like a cookie bouquet (using floral foam and a small clay pot).. possibilities are endless!!better late than never!

holy cow! That's a lot of cookies. They look fabulous. A definite must try!!
you are a little Martha Stewart. I wish you lived here so you could teach me:) Also love the Christmas pics of Audrey. That looks like a really cool tricycle.
You are SO creative!! Think I may have to try this sometime! Did you have any problems with the cookies falling off the sticks? Also, what did you use to put the icing on?
surprisingly none of the cookies came off of the sticks.. just make sure the dough is pretty thick {followed the directions on the recipe} and push the stick in on the side in the middle (flip them over to make sure the stick is completely covered with dough) and I used the plastic piping bags that are pictured in the christmas pics of audrey decorating cookies.. they're a couple of dollars at Wal Mart - but you can just throw them away.. i just cut the tips off of them.. the icing dries pretty fast.. maybe 2 or 3 minutes. Have Fun!
