here are some pictures from my parents neighborhood - the effects from Ike were mind blowing - luckily, my parents did not experience any flooding in their home - however, many of their neighbors did - keep them in your prayers as they have a long road to getting their houses back to normal.

Wow Christa- I had no idea Lake Charles got that much water! I guess they must have been on the "rainier" side of the storm. I am very glad your parents did not get any water in their house, that is so lucky! Hopefully the water will recede quickly so people can get repairs underway.
