For those of you with little ones in your life, I HIGHLY recommend this daily devotional for children – it looks vintage and cute but even more important the messages are wonderful.. I love that the author takes the unique point of view and speaks thru the book as if Jesus were talking to your child. I get more out of it each night than Audrey does ;) but I am hoping that she might be drifting off to sleep with thoughts of Jesus in her sweet little red-head.

As I was reading tonight’s devotional, January 4th, I couldn’t help but feel as if it was written for us at this time in our lives. Here it is…
A New Habit
Everyone has habits – some are good and some are not so good. Starting today, I want you to learn a new habit. Try saying, “I trust You, Jesus,” no matter what is happening around you. Choose to remember that I am in control of the universe, and that I love you with a love that is higher than any mountain and deeper than any ocean.
By saying, “I trust You, Jesus,” you are saying that you know I am in control of all things and that nothing can defeat Me. It is then that fear loses its grip on you. So when you are facing tough times, trust Me to guide you through them and use them to grow your faith. Trusting Me is a habit you won’t ever want to break.
such a simple, basic, truth but Just what I needed to hear. Ahhh. to just rest in the Lord and not to worry about what if’s, fear the unknown, or let the attitude of “the loss of my life as I know it” get the best of me. I know it is all to be expected and all very normal emotions, but I had about a week of being parked there and I’m ready to move forward and prepare for an adventure of a lifetime…
We’ll see what God has in store.
