Weekend Fun

I should be working on stuff for “gift chick” but I feel so guilty about the lack of blogging that I have decided to spend time with you instead.  I wish there was a better word than just “busy” – it doesn’t seem fitting enough.  The etsy store has done FAR more volume than I ever could have imagined.  I have been up and running for almost 3 months (and remember the first week I sold absolutely nothing) and reached 200 sales last night. that is nearly  200 boxes shipped (with the exception of a local pick up here and there) and a whole lotta stuff moving thru here 200 is the number of orders, not the number of items.. i don’t even want to know….

I am slowly learning the ropes about business and still struggling with how to juggle  balance it all. Weekends have been a time for me to stop working and start playing, but I pay for it dearly during the week.   I am enjoying it still but definitely don’t want to glamorize it – I am working my tail off.  literally and figuratively.   I do enjoy earning my own money and not feeling guilty for getting things that I want or need.

enough of that.

The kids are doing great – preschool is almost over and the summer is beginning.  Will is walking everywhere but getting even clingy-er than before.. i honestly didn’t think it was possible.

This weekend was a whirl wind.

Friday Night: neighborhood happy hour – We had a ball, kids had a ball it was all good.

Saturday morning: cranked out 4 orders to ship, went to a birthday party in Katy, left from there to go to Lake Charles and arrived at 4:00 almost deaf from Will’s screaming.  Never AGAIN - {mark my words – NEVER} will I leave during naptime.  we arrived at the camp - “Choza del Rio” and ready to relax.  we hung out with mom and dad and kari for a bit and visited/played

Sunday it was chilly all day and overcast so our plan to have some fun in the sun was a bit busted up but we enjoyed the day and each other anyway.  We loaded up the car after a delicious lunch and within 24 hours we had come and gone.

Where was Charles? you ask?

He built the kids an magnificent swingset from Sam’s, painted Will’s room and had the house all picked up and clean for our arrival .. SUPER DUPER mother’s day for me.
