Ok. I know, I know. I've been REALLY bad about posting lately. I only have 2 posts for this month and I'm used to doing at least 2 posts a week. sheesh.
I am trying to up it on the priority list, I promise. So, I know posts are blah without pictures - but I thought well - this is better than nothing, right?
Where have we been lately? HOME - trapped inside foreverrrrrrrrrr
Well, it feels like it anyway.
Last week and the week before we had a sudden spirt of visitors which was totally random. We had different guests each night - wednesday, thursday, friday and saturday - then the following week we had someone Sunday, Monday and then another visitor that Friday, Saturday, Sunday (easter weekend). whew!!
So much fun, but as you know - exhausting too... The very next day (this past Monday) Will was diagnosed with a double ear infection - doc says one more and off to the ENT we go.. for tubes - I'm fine with that knowing he'll be happier and in less pain.
Poor baby he felt bad crying a couple of times each night and boy, were we tired.
Anyone who knows Will - he is a hip baby to begin with.. not to mention a sick baby. clingy. whiny. crying. allll day.
THENNNNN.. wait for it.. wait for it..
Audrey woke up with fever Thursday -
Then Friday: Audrey, Charles and I went for our semi annual cleaning at the dentist office and after her visit.. BARFFF all over herself, ME and the floor of the dentist office -facing the lobby. nice, I know.
The good news was, I was wearing a t-shirt underneath a hoodie. In true mama style, I took the hoodie off, cleaned the mess and actually relaxed in the chair while I got my teeth cleaned. yes, even after being puked on. Meanwhile, Charles was watching the kids and Audrey threw up again. He failed to mention he didn't clean her up and when I saw her she was covered with a towel - straight to the doctor we went... they could take us right away.
I get her out of the carseat and literally - CHUNKS - she was still sitting in it?!!!!!!!!? OH MY - I assumed charles at least cleaned up the mess. ha.
I put her back in the car - puke was even in her panties. nasty.
Dealing with two kids, one highly contagious and the other not able to walk on his own is very difficult I might add. Picture it if you will.
I got back home and stripped her down in the garage - put a towel in the car seat - used the grown up shoulder strap since hers was- well, nasty and still wet. and back to the doctor we go.
Got right in, took a strep test first. waited forever for the results trying to keep her and Will apart and myself from contaminating him or myself - test negative.
Doc offered Flu test. took that one - holding Will - trying to hold audrey still so the doc can get a swab - had to call in reinforcements to help with Will - have I ever mentioned he is SO BUSY!?!
Flu test positive. and NO I DON'T know the strain - seems to be the number one question even though it doesn't matter - they treat all flus the same.
ok. breathe. back home - HOW am I going to do this??? were my thoughts.
I felt totally alone - fought back the helpless feeling tears many many times that day - I was exhausted. still am. It has been a lot.
Sorry I haven't been posting - I guess now you see where we have been. :) ha.
