Cookies: Step By Step

I did the filling and the “1” at the same time so that the “1” would sink into the blue icing and be flat.

while I let the baby blue/white dry I added a navy blue border.

Then I added the red “1” on top so that it would be raised

A fellow blogger friend hired me to do 24 of these for her son’s 1st birthday party…  It was lots of fun trying to figure out how to make them coordinate with her color scheme and theme.. Charles was thrilled to find out I was actually making money and not spending it.. haha!! :)

lindsey, the icing recipe is on a former cookie posting.. from all recipes.. maybe the saint's cookie one?? not sure
