My Brat's Stats

We did a combo well visit for the first time. Audrey was about a month overdue for hers and Will was right on time. Since we skipped Audrey's 2 year well visit all together, she had to make up a shot in addition to getting one of her 4 year old shots early and a flu shot. Poor Will, He had 4 shots (two sticks in each leg) and an oral vaccine. whew! what a morning. They both were checked over whith a fine tooth comb and seem pretty healthy.

Audrey's weight is in 50th percentile, at 31 lbs
and her height was 38.something, at 90th percentile - doc said if she continues on this growth curve we are looking at 5'7" - 5'8" tall when she is fully grown. I guess my neck will get sore looking up to her.

She was great in the appointment and cooperated nicely - except for when the doctor asked her what color the walls are in the room (trying to see what she knows) and even though I will say "peach" is a little tough for a 3 year old.. audrey said "Purple." To this the doctor sortof politely mentioned, well, i guess we are still working on our colors. what?! I tried to not seem like a "stage mom" when I was over to the side saying, "Oh no, Audrey knows all of her colors well... I think this is a tough color to hit." ha haha.. doesn't matter.

as for mister Will...
Dr. McDavitt got to see him in all his wiggle worm glory. he WOULD NOT lay on his back. fhe kept flipping over like a cat being dropped on the floor, (not that i have ever done that...). He TORE UP that crinkle noisy paper that they line the examining table/bed thing with and tried to grab all of her tools and almost ingested the tongue depressor. nice. my son, into EVERYTHING at the ripe ole age of 6 months. sheesh.
Will weighed in at 18 lbs 9 oz
Length: 27.25"
both were around 60th percentile..I think all that army crawling has slowed his weight gain a bit.
then we waited and watied for the "vaccine room" to become ready for us and the 342 shots they had to prepare. I debated on who should go first..Audrey, no Will, no Audrey - yes, Audrey. If she would have seen what they did to him... ain't no way she'd volunteer herself to go up so she had to go first.

They both did surprisingly well - a little crying for them, none for me... and it was over an hour and a half after we walked in the door - off to Sonic for a M&M Sonic Blast and a corn dog. The end.
