I had a doc. appointment today and learned that I was 1 cm dilated and 50% effaced... It is nice to know that my body is doing it's job and getting ready for delivery. My entire pregnancy has been very normal and average (as far as the measurements go) until this morning where my tummy measured smaller than normal. My belly measured 36" last week, was supposed to measure 37 this week but was only 33 cm... pretty big difference.. I had mentioned to the doctor that my belly felt smaller this week than it did last week and not as firm which is an unusual complaint when you are 37 weeks pregnant!! She decided to send me to the ultrasound room to check on my fluid levels and his size and sure enough my amniotic fluid is on the low-normal range at 5.69 cm [The normal range is from 5cm-25cm]. She also mentioned that he is actually a "smaller baby" with the estimated weight being around 5lbs 12oz. (I wasn't super surprised since I have hardly gained any weight in these last 3 weeks - but I sure did pack it on in the beginning of the pregnancy!) The ultrasound tech said that it was a good sign that he was proportional and that he had a strong heartrate of 145 bpm and his blood pressure and mine were both normal. I'm trying to drink extra water to help with the fluid levels and maybe even eat a little extra this week to fatten this boy up a little before my ultrasound next Wednesday... In the meantime please say a prayer that he is healthy.

Hey girl..
we'll be praying for you! Fortunately, you serve a God who is so much bigger than us and He is able to do so much more than we can imagine! I'll pray that He can give you a peace and rest before sweet Will comes!!!
Will do! Eat some of that pizza bread :)
Do you think your doctor will let you schedule an ultrasound on Monday? Shane told me Lindzay's amnio fluid was at 6cm when they delivered her. I am just being a nervous friend:) Talk to you tomorrow!
We are praying over here!!!
Hey girl~
Just read your post... I will definitely be praying for you as you await sweet Will's arrival. You don't sound worried, but just to be sure- please don't be :) As Hetal said, God is so big in all of this. You know all the right things to do so enjoy this time and get a little extra rest and hydration before he makes his debut. I love you and WILL CALL TOMORROW... now that I can actually sorta talk!
Love you!
Kenz
